What’s new in Coherence X 4.4:
A new app backend
This update introduces a significantly improved app backend, switching from a script to an internal helper app. In addition to approving stability, all aspects of apps are now fully native to Apple Silicon.
Coherence will now ask to Reveal an app in Finder as opposed to “Launch now”
We’ve done this due to a change in Chrome that made the extension not run on the first launch if you used the Launch now button. Hopefully, we’ll be able to revert back to this in the future.
A number of interface fixes and improvements
General oddities like buttons not working and crashes should be fixed.
Added support for file:// links
Fixed editing apps crashing Coherence
Tabbed apps now automatically enable opening additional tabs by default
The Coherence extension was updated a few versions ago to block unwanted tabs from opening unless you turn this off. However, tabbed apps no longer block this functionality.
Various other fixes
To update your existing Coherence apps:
Backup your existing apps
Go to Coherence → App Updater and select apps built in a previous version of Coherence.
Coherence X4.4 is available now via in-app purchase and from the Coherence changelog.
