A focus on Coherence stability as well as improvements to Unite
In addition to informing you about major updates, we do our best to send a monthly email recapping our newest improvements.
Coherence 4.2
In October, we released Coherence 4.2 - the first of a few updates where we want to focus on improving general stability in the Coherence creation tool and within Coherence apps. We’ve already released two additional updates to Coherence and hope to improve it further in the coming weeks and months.
Coherence apps should now remember their window size and positions between sessions.
The Coherence creation tool can now be closed and reopened without quitting the app.
We’ve added support for importing extensions and profiles from all supported browsers. Additionally, Coherence will now skip this step if it can’t find any supported assets to import.
Reintroduced support for trialing Coherence if you or a friend don’t already own a license.
The Coherence updater will now work with tabbed apps, as well as additional tabs opened after app creation.
The Coherence updater now automatically resigns apps during updating, which should improve stability.
The save location during the create app flow will now default to your default save location in the Coherence settings. Changing it during the creation step will change it only for the current session.
Significant improvements to the icon creation code that should avoid errors.
Significant improvements to the URL-grabbing code that should avoid errors.
These are just some of the changes we’ve made to improve Coherence - we hope they make for a better experience!
These updates are free for users of Coherence X4 and also available on Setapp (if 4.2.2 is not present on Setapp at the time of publication, it should arrive imminently).

Unite fixes and improvements
We’ve also added some fixes and improvements to Unite recently, including:
Fixed an issue with delete key behavior.
Added support for dark mode in about menus.
Improvements to the built-in password manager
Fixed a bug where notifications, downloads, and password manager were not working in the Setapp build.
Fixed a bug where apps would appear to stop working every 30 days in the Setapp build.
Improved ad blocker functionality with an auto-updating filter.
